Baja Duty Free Remodels in San Ysidro, California
Baja Duty Free is pleased to announce that it has completed the remodel of its duty-free retail store in San Ysidro, California.
The expansion was undertaken to cater to the increased needs of its customers who have made the store so successful.
|
Baja Duty Free first opened its doors to the general public in 1989 in a 1,000 sq. ft. mall location. In 1994, the company
moved to its own free-standing 5,500 sq. ft. building, which has now been expanded to a total of 6,700 sq. ft. The remodel has
increased Baja Duty Free's retail space by more than 20%.
A key factor in the decision to expand was the consumer demand for a self-service environment, following the trend in the duty-free industry. Customers expressed the desire to be able to
experiment with different brands and products before purchasing goods. |
 |
Baja Duty Free carries a wide assortment of prestigious, internationally known brands and products. These include
imported and domestic liquor, beer, wine, tobacco, fragrances, cosmetics, leather goods, accessories, eyewear, crystal, and
confectionaries.
Baja Duty Free operates 3 locations: San Ysidro, California, Calexico, California and Eagle Pass, Texas. The growth and
success of Baja Duty Free has been partly due to the support of its parent company, Fairn & Swanson, Inc. Fairn & Swanson is
recognized as the largest duty-free distributor and wholesaler on the West Coast of North America. Their expertise and
experience has contributed to their success and rapid growth in the duty-free sector under the Baja Duty Free logo.
